CISS Resources

Resource Library

Our bilingual library is located at 700 Industrial Road, Suite 600, Ottawa, Ontario. We have resource books, children’s books, teaching materials, book kits, journals, periodicals and magazines available in both English and French.

The main focus of our library is inclusion, disability specific information, teaching and parenting support, and curriculum content. Our aim is to assist parents/guardians and educators with the information they require to meet the specific needs of children who have identified special needs within the context of everyday routines and activities at home, in the community or in licensed child care programs. Through the resources in our library we hope to support parents/guardians and educators by demystifying labels and diagnoses in order to build on commonalities and encourage the active participation of all children with each other and their environments as they grow, play and learn together.

Our library is available to all at no cost. All borrowers who use the library are asked to fill out a membership form.

Our library is open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. For further information please call 736-1913, ext. 284.
