Through the provision of reliable, high-quality emergency child care, the Short Term Child Care Program seeks to reduce the stress of families who are struggling to balance work and family in their everyday lives.
All eligible families who access the services of the Short Term Child Care Program will be served efficiently in a supportive and compassionate environment, regardless of race, age, color, gender, disability, sexual orientation, marital status, creed, ancestry or national origin.
All child care provided through the Short Term Child Care Program seeks to establish a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for the child(ren), which fosters the emotional, social, intellectual and physical development of the child(ren), however brief the child care arrangement.
Caregivers of the Short Term Child Care Program have met all screening requirements, and are trained and experienced in child care. When on an assignment, they will abide by all Policies and Procedures set forth by the Short Term Child Care Program, as they will respect and accommodate the wishes and instructions of the child's parent(s)/legal guardian.
Caregivers and Program Staff of Short Term Child Care will demonstrate flexibility and respect in meeting the individual needs of children and their parents.
By attention to detail in all aspects of the service, Program Staff of Short Term Child Care seek to engage caregivers, parents and children in a happy and productive partnership for the duration of the placement.
