Our bilingual library which is located at 700 Industrial Road, Suite 600, Ottawa, Ontario. We have resource books, children’s books, teaching materials, CD’s, DVD’s, journals, periodicals and magazines available in both English and French.
The main focus of our library is inclusion, disability specific information, teaching and parenting support, and curriculum content. Our aim is to assist parents/guardians and educators with the information they require to meet the specific needs of children who have identified special needs within the context of everyday routines and activities at home, in the community or in licensed child care programs. Through the resources in our library we hope to support parents/guardians and educators by demystifying labels and diagnoses in order to build on commonalities and encourage the active participation of all children with each other and their environments as they grow, play and learn together.
Our library is available to all. All borrowers who use the library are asked to fill out a membership form ().

This manual was written to dispel many myths in dealing with children’s challenging behaviours. It takes a holistic look at behaviour, reinforces existing knowledge and enhances the ability of teaching teams to implement this knowledge effectively in child care settings.
The reader is guided through the process of behavioural change by using two distinct pathways: The Environmental Pathway to Behavioural Change and The Behavioural Pathway to Behavioural Change. The manual was conceived for the reader to easily know where he or she is in the different pathways, yet can be used in a flexible and integrated manner allowing the reader to access and combine information from different sections and pathways. One unique feature of this manual is the Children’s Integration Support Services Child Care Environment Assessment Tool.
Many charts and sheets are provided that may be photocopied and used in child care settings. Please note that there are restricted reproduction permissions for their use and application. The rest of the manual may not be reproduced in any form or by any means.

The Professional Development Module Series are interactive workshops that provide teaching teams with the opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge as well as to make connections between; Physical Space, Structure and Transitions, Teacher Responses and their impact on the children’s behaviours.
These workshops emphasize the importance of the Process of Change and a collaborative team approach to create a sustainable action plan to bring about positive change within the child care environment.
